Hello everyone!  Let me begin by introducing myself.  My name is Sybil Roddy Jones–hence the name of the blog and the business RoddyJonesTrading.com.  My husband and I wanted to start our own fashion business and along with that came the idea of this blog site.  This is my first blog due to when we started it I was nearing delivery of our 3rd child (By the way, I’m not a writer so excuse any grammar mistakes).  All beautiful little girls and all DIVAs!!!!

My oldest child is 4 and very fashion conscious.  If you’re a mom you know some days toward the end of your pregnancy you just don’t feel like putting clothes on.  Well this one particular day I put on some sweats and my huaband’s T-shirt to run errands.  My lovely husband decided to go out for lunch.  We are sitting at the table and my daughter says; mommy why do you have on your p.j.’s at Olive Garden?  She continue to tell me how bad I looked that day.  Of course my husband smiled and didn’t say a word.  Later that night he told me that I was looking a little rough, but was still cute.  Ha!Ha!

Fast forward to after my 3rd daughter is born, you know you’re between your maternity clothes and post pregnancy clothes.  Since we started this business at the start of my pregnancy I had the “bright” idea of tossing all my clothes to purchase the style that we would sale.  Guess what?  That didn’t happen.  With a 4 and 2 year old tugging at my pregnant behind everyday I just couldn’t seem to get it together to take time out to pick out a few things for myself.  I ended up in the mommy slump.  Of course my lovely 4 year old tells me about my look again.  This time it really hit home.  The funny thing about all of this is my friend Shanna and I are always chatting on the phone (we live thousand’s of miles away from one another) about What Not to Wear.  We always say we are going to get it together and everyday we ask; what you wearing today?  Well, i finally went shopping.  Online that is.  No, I didn’t purchase from myself, although I will begin to use my tailor for my clothes.  When the UPS man came to the door my daughter was too excited.  I had to try everything on right then and she said how pretty mommy.  That made me feel great!!!!!

From that day forth I’ve gotten up every morning and took the time to be DIVA mommy.  When I walk out the door with a nice pair of jeans, shirts, heels and purse I feel great and see my daughter smiling from ear to ear walking with her mommy.  My new handbag fendi goes great with my jeans and heels.  Being a business owner of designer fashion I MUST keep my appearance up.  And what the best way to advertise but to wear my own product while handing out business cards.  I feel wonderful when I’m dressed nice and as a mom I use to believe that I wasn’t suppose to be DIVAFIED, but guess what, yes I can and so can you.  So grab you a cup of tea and visit www.roddyjonestrading.com to find your awesome style.
