No Easy Money Online (About Me)

The world according to a “former” internet marketer…

I’ve tried everything to make money online and I’ve failed! After almost four years of research (i.e. buying internet marketing products), education (buying more internet marketing products), and work (chasing a dream) I’ve learned conclusively that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAKING EASY MONEY ONLINE.

Many of you are probably thinking, “Well Duh”! There are literally hundreds of  thousands of people who search “make money online” ideas every single day.  The truth is that you can make money using the internet working from home, but it takes a sound business plan and a lot of work.  So in other words, I learned that making money online takes the same business principles that building a “brick and mortar” business takes.

After spending thousands of dollars learning my lesson, I’ve decided to make money the right way.  This is why I’ve started The Urban Professional.  The best way to make real money online is to provide a valuable service. I’ve learned that starting and sustaining a business online takes following these basic steps:

1.   Find a narrow topic topic that you’re interested in.

2.  Create a website (or webpage) related to that topic.

2a. If the website is informative in nature, actually provide informative information to the readers.  Do not write with the sole purpose of getting attention in the search engines.

2b.  If an e-commerce website, create the website as you need to, but make sure that the title, description, and keyword tags are present.

3.  Write an informative article and submit it to large article directories such as Ezine Articles or submit to Squidoo or Hubpages.

4. Build back links by commenting on related blog posts and articles.

There is a little more involved than what I mentioned above (i.e. keyword research) but these are the basic four steps that you do to create and drive traffic to a money making website.

The purpose of TheUrbanProfessional.com is to provide an informative review style blog of products, topics, and resources that are of interest to me.  Additionally, I’ll talk about anything from fashion, politics, science, religion…basically anything that I feel like.  My logic is that if I provide valuable information that you can use, you can “show me love” by clicking on the advertisers’ links that are on my website.  This way, I can make an honest living doing something that I love (with advertiser support) and at the same time provide you with honest, unbiased information that you are looking for.
